Catalan Company

Gran Compañía Catalana de los Almogávares

The Catalan Company was recruited to fight for the Byzantines in 1302. Despite early successes its commander (Roger de Flor) was murdered in 1305 by the Byzantines. The Catalan Compan then entered Greece, where it defeated the Achaean Franks. The Catalans then took over the Principality until 1388.

Quick thoughts-
1st, maximum number of almugavars is a bit on the high side. If we take 4000 as the upper limit, then at a scale of 1:100, the army should top out at 36-40 bases.

2nd, with a starting strength of 1500 horsemen, I think we need to get closer to around 15 bases for the 'Aragonese' mounted.

Given Muntaner's comments about armouring his almugavars in Greece, a heavy shock option would also be a good idea.

I wonder if we are a little too generous with the Alan allies as well. The lack of co-operation seems to be conspicuous.
